Guest Artist | Brittany Klinger | Woods Creek

We have a NEW GUEST ARTIST this month!  

It's been awhile since we had enough time to put together some Guest Artist work, but here we are with a new format we haven't worked with as of yet - Photography!  Our resident photography expert, Brittany Klinger, introduces herself here: 

Hello there! My name is Brittany Klinger and I am a 31 year old nature/underwater/astro- photographer based out of Lexington, VA, where I live with my husband and beloved cat. I see the world in pictures and have been photographing it since I was old enough to hold a Polaroid Instant Camera. I hold a Masters in Counseling Psychology and am a grief counselor at Rockbridge Area Hospice part time. In my other worlds I'm an outdoor educator at Boxerwood, a nature interpretive ranger at Natural Bridge State Park, and teaching artist at Halestone. Rockbridge County is such an incredible place to live and has so many places to capture it is almost overwhelming (in a good way)! I have always been an outside kid and my roles in the community allow me more opportunities to explore the county and capture it in my photos. One of my favorite things about photography is being able to capture a moment in time and share it with others. I view photography as a mindfulness practice and my hope is that others can garner a sense of peace from what I capture. You can find my work at local markets (currently Season's Yield).
